Through Bishop Calvin Scott's sincere desire to develop an intimate relationship with the Lord, he learned servitude and how to humble himself before God and Godly leadership. As a result of his obedience, God elevated him to pastor his own flock. Bishop Scott exercised tremendous faith when he gave birth to the "Vision" God had given him to start Believers Temple Word Fellowship.

He and his wife (Prophetess Deborah Scott) have been saved for over 23 years. He has held many Christian leadership positions throughout the United States. As founder and pastor of Believers Temple Word Fellowship (BTWF), Bishop Scott has been a pastor for nine years. He has witnessed the move of God in a profound way within the ministry, starting with a multitude of visitors each Sunday morning.

Today the "BTWF" is one of the fastest growing churches in the Midwest. He presently ministers to hundreds during three Sunday morning services.

Since it's beginning in the 1993, the BTWF ministry, under the leader of Bishop Scott, has experienced phenomenal growth. The ministry has expanded and developed programs and services. Focusing on community development and the holistic family. Some programs include Literacy and GED classes, Single's Ministry, Children's Church, Youth Ministry (Radical Chain Breakers), Monthly Marriage Enrichment classes, Women's Abuse Ministry and Recovery Drug Ministry (for recovering addicts). Child Prep Development Daycare Center, Child Prep Christian Academy, with First Grade being the newest addition to the ministry. The ministries are so diverse because Bishop Scott believes it is essential to reach as many souls as possible and meet the many needs of the Body of Christ. A sound financial program supported by the members of BTWF, partners, and friends back the ministry.
